The Rodings, or Roothings

"The Rodings, or Roothings, are a clump of small agrieultural parishes, in the unions and hundreds of Dunmow and Onger, Dunmow county court district, established before the time of the confessor, and situated between Onger and Dunmow, on the upper part of the river Roding.
